Kitchener, Ontario

One of the constituent municipalities of the Regional Municipality of Waterloo. Population 204,000. The first settlement in the area was called Ebytown. It became incorporated as the Town of Berlin in 1854. The status of city was granted in 1912. The City of Berlin was renamed Kitchener in 1916 in the patriotic fervor of WW I.

    One of the main station platforms for the new ION transit system ... we will see how it works out but, one thing for sure -- we are lossing the _bus_ route directly in front of most of my neighbors' and my home. Not many from the neighborhood live close to this completely out of the way (on top of a hill) transit stop.
